Stop Bergman's Lies
Jack Bergman is lying on the House floor.
Big blatant lies.
Based on the Homeland Security Republican's own website, out of 2.4 million encounters at the Southwest border in FY 2023, only 169 individuals appear on terrorist watchlists.
This is just 0.007%, likely a ratio similar to the 'gotaways'. The crime rate for undocumented immigrants is less than 1%, just as it is for citizens.
Bergman's claims of a potential 100% of one million people are absolutely baseless.
Border Security and immigration reform are essential to our nation, but Bergman is purposefully denying solutions because border chaos is better for GOP elections.
Facts matter, and my opponent's statement yesterday was intellectually dishonest and morally wrong.
