Keep body camera policies out of police hands

The DOJ is spending millions to equip tens of thousands of local law enforcement agents with body-worn cameras without any legal restrictions. Threatening to turn body cameras into the latest tool of police injustice.

Here's what we're going to do to push for ironclad body camera policies that ensure police accountability:

  • Launch on-the-ground efforts in critical cities and states across the country to ensure good body camera legislation that protects Black communities.
  • Create a rapid response team to pressure members of government from city councils to the Department of Justice to fight not just for body camera protocols but for the release of all footage related to police killings.
  • Create resources so any person can start a local campaign pressing for good body camera policy.
The only way we can achieve this is with your help. Chip in to help bring police accountability to Black communities around the country.
