She has been a teacher in South San Francisco and a School Board Trustee in the San Mateo-Foster City School District.


She currently serves as a Personnel Commissioner appointed by the San Mateo County Board of Education, as well as on the San Mateo County Commission on Disabilities, appointed by the Board of Supervisors.


Chelsea's campaign is about bringing equitable educational opportunity, inclusion and accountability to all students in San Mateo County.
