Saluting Our Ladies in Leadership
Please join us as we honor our democratic women elected officials in Nebraska at this fun, rally-style event. We will also be presenting our four Inspiring Women Scholarship awards in honor of Mayor Boosalis.
Political trailblazer Helen Boosalis is the inspiration for our scholarships to benefit women students. The Inspiring Women Scholarship, established in 2009 following Boosalis’ death, awards four $500 scholarships to democratic women who are active in their communities and progressive politics: three to traditional students, one from each congressional district in Nebraska, and one to a non-traditional Nebraska student.
Funds raised from the event will support the annual scholarships, democratic women candidates in Nebraska, and voter outreach activity.
