#AbolishIce #WeWontBeComplicit

Since before the DREAM movement, the movement for immigrant rights has always been a struggle led by the people and the few victories won in the immigrant rights movement have never been a gift. Through the years, we have learned that the only thing that works to make effective change is direct action such as large mobilizations and general strikes. The most important lesson however, has been that united we are strong and that if we fight together - we win.

With the demand to abolish ICE more popular than ever, we have called for a National Day of Action on July 31 to target the government institutions and companies that help ICE function day in and day out. It is unacceptable for anyone to do business with ICE, to make their job easier, or to profit from the inhumane treatment of immigrants.

Northeastern University receives millions from ICE from an ongoing research contract, benefitting from the agency’s criminalization and dehumanization of the immigrant community while directly contributing to the gentrification of Roxbury and surrounding neighborhoods.

We demand permanent protection, dignity, and respect for all immigrants. We won’t be complicit. We ask you to contribute for the July 31st march on Northeastern University to help make this direct action a success. Your donation will go towards costs, including sound system rental and bail funds.
