Advancing Human Rights: A National Dialogue for Black Americans
The Bookman Institute for Minority Issues invites all Americans to participate in a new national dialogue on the human rights of Black Americans, informed by the framework of international law. This invitation does not seek to replace the U.S. Constitution but rather to enrich its application for Black Americans by leveraging the global understanding of human rights. Our goal is to outline the potential for a conversation that fully recognizes the status of Black Americans as a national minority within the context of international law.
The Bookman Institute for Minority Issues is a periodicals publisher and educational organization dedicated to advancing international minority rights and empowering Black Americans. The organization will publish both an online quarterly magazine and a monthly newsletter. Together, these publications will provide education as well as a forum for discussion and debate.
