I’m Bram Kranichfeld. I currently serve as Franklin County State’s Attorney, and I have spent more than 20 years working in Vermont’s justice system. I’m running because Chittenden County needs experienced leadership and a State’s Attorney’s Office that delivers real follow-through.
That means taking violence, trafficking, and repeated harm seriously. It means standing with victims and survivors. It also means recognizing that punishment alone will not solve the challenges driven by substance use, mental health needs, trauma, and poverty.
As a State's Attorney, former hospital chaplain, and community member, I have learned that accountability and compassion are both essential to justice. The right response is not the same in every case. We need to use prosecution when it is necessary, and treatment, diversion, and restorative justice when they can reduce harm and help people move forward.
I’m running to build a State’s Attorney’s Office that uses sound judgment, treats people with dignity, and works every day toward a safer and healthier Chittenden County.
Your contribution will help us reach voters across the county and elect a State’s Attorney with the experience, judgment, and humanity to lead.
