Brazoria Blue
Let us do the unthinkable. Let us turn Texas Blue!
The conventional wisdom was that Brazoria county in Texas is as "red" as they come, and don't bother if you are a democrat. A dedicated group of volunteers - young and old - challenged this conventional wisdom, and the democratic vote share in Brazoria has grown dramatically from 2014 to 2018.
As of Oct 26,2020, more voters in Brazoria have cast their ballot during the early voting period than the entire 2018 election. Brazoria county accounts for nearly a third of the votes for the TX-22 - one of the most flippable seats in the Congress, with Sri Preston Kulkarni running for the seat. We have exciting young candidates running up and down the ballot. Their enthusisam is infectious, and we are seeing a sea change in the voting patterns.
Every democratic vote in Brazoria county tells the world that the days that republicans can waltz through counties like Brazoria are long over. It is a vote of confidence for all the volunteers who persevere against great odds to turn Brazoria blue.
