Join DAD for our monthly breakfast with Special Guests Senator Saddam Azlan Salim and Delegate Joshua Thomas for a General Assembly debrief.
The VA General Assembly convenes a 45-day session in odd numbered years to consider thousands of bills. Senator Salim and Delegate Thomas will discuss the three constitutional amendments central to the Democratic platform; the status of gun violence prevention bills and priority legislation; and topics of important local impact: affordable housing, the casino, data centers, and mass surveillance.
Senator Salim in his first term represents Fairfax City, Falls Church City and parts of Fairfax including Tysons Corner. Delegate Josh Thomas in his first term represents part of Prince William County. He is running for re-election in the most competitive district in NoVA
