My name is Brett Robinson, and I am a graduate student at the University of Houston studying Public Administration. This May, I will be graduating with my Masters in the program. I am prepared to lead as a State Representative because I have always been involved in my community, and I have learned so much in the Masters of Public Administration program at UH. The program has given me core skills I believe all lawmakers should possess, such as public management, public budgeting, and policy implementation skills.

First and foremost, I am running to restore reproductive freedom. My opponent is the author of the Heartbeat Act, which bans abortion after 6 weeks and provides no exception for rape or incest. He went unchallenged in the last cycle, and he needs to be held accountable. I am dedicated to spreading the word, and letting my community know the role he played in the loss of this fundamental right.

In so many ways, our society is going backwards, and I refuse to be part of a "closed door" generation. Issues like income inequality, gun violence, climate change, and more will persist if we do not have the courage to meet this moment. I hope to have your support.
