Brett Edkins is a sixth-generation New Yorker – a proud F-M graduate, born and raised in Manlius. After college and law school at Yale, he spent his career as an attorney and advocate fighting for voting rights, campaign finance reform, and everyday people. As an attorney, Brett defended reasonable gun safety laws, helped asylum seekers finding a new home, and supported nonprofits getting off the ground.
Brett and his husband moved back to Manlius to raise their kids and be closer to family and friends.
Appointed to the Town Board in May 2026, Brett is running in November to earn a full term. His priorities are straightforward: protect working families, make housing more affordable, improve parks and services, keep spending in check, and make Manlius more walkable and livable for everyone. Brett believes local government should be honest and accessible to everyone in the community.
He's committed to listening, and getting things done.
