Now more than ever, we need anti-racist leadership in poor/working class white communities. Multi-racial poor and working class movement change the world. That requires committed anti-racist poor/working class white leadership.
From April 20-23, 40 leaders organizing with poor and working class white communities across the U.S. will gather at the historic Highlander Center to share skills, strategy, and analysis about building racial justice. Your donation will help make it happen.
40 organizers from across region, culture, and issue will come together to:
- Discuss what’s needed during this moment of accelerated white supremacy
- Share organizing skills and lessons across geographies and sectors
- Share and build strategies about how the white working class can shift to see themselves as part of a broader, multi-racial working class
- Build relationships between more poor and working class white organizers committed to anti-racist struggle
Catalyst Project and Highlander Center are working in collaboration with Alliance for Appalachia, Iraq Veterans Against the War, Kentuckians for the Commonwealth, Rural Organizing Project, Vermont Worker’s Center, Southern Maine Worker’s Center, and Showing Up for Racial Justice.
