I’m Brittany Black, and I’m running for Texas House District 61. I’m a software engineer, a small business owner, and someone who taught herself how to build when the system failed her. I’m not a career politician.
I’m someone who believes that if you take public money, you owe the public real results.
I’m running because Texas has been taken over by corruption, backroom deals, and politicians who treat public office like a personal profit center. Greg Abbott and his hand selected politicians in Austin pass laws that reward cruelty, protect special interests, and turn our Legislature into a rubber stamp instead of a watchdog. Meanwhile, our schools close, our infrastructure crumbles, and families are pushed out of the communities they work so hard to be part of.
District 61 deserves better than performative politics and self-serving votes. We deserve accountability, affordability, and action. I’m running to follow the money, call out corruption, and actually fix the systems that are failing the people who live here.
But I can’t do this alone. If you’re ready to help put an end to corruption and elect real leadership for District 61, chip in today and help us win.
