This fight isn’t done.
We have yet more struggles coming up as the Boards decide what services our county will have to do without to balance this year’s budget.
Republicans on the Board of Supervisors referred to those who came out to speak as “activists” and “special interests”, dismissing public opinion and input. One Republican referred to the School Board as teenagers "going to the house party”.
This is unacceptable rhetoric from our elected officials. Our children are not special interests; they are our future. We need to send a message that funding education is no house party, it’s serious business.
LCDC’s mission is to elect a sustainable Democratic majority in Loudoun. Donate now to stand up against these Republican attacks on our children’s future. Let’s work to “hand the keys” to a Democratic majority that will always fight for what’s right.
We've been on the parent's and students' side of this fight for years, and we'll remain there until all our County Services are properly funded and respected.
