Team Edifye East Buffalo Brake Light Block Party

embed errored

On Saturday, May 27th, we are throwing a Buffalo BRAKE LIGHT BLOCK PARTY and mutual aid celebration at the Bethel AME Church on 1525 Michigan Ave! This program is going down in partnership and coalition with a local org, Voice Buffalo, as well as the Campaign to End Qualified Immunity across the state and Americans Against Qualified Immunity nationwide.

First Down: we bring in trained and certified technicians to change brake lights for any driver that needs it, no strings attached. This is to protect our neighbors against aggressive police traffic stops, which all too often become costly, stressful or even tragic (rest in power, Tyre Nichols!). By offering this service in the church parking lot, we are looking out for our neighbors and preventing future harm.

Second Down: we give out bags of groceries and baby products, all for the love of mutual aid and community empowerment. It's a tough time right now, so families in need can grab home necessities while their car gets checked!

Third Down: we have inflatable football games, music bumping, a bouncy house for the kids and hot lunches off the grill, bringing neighborhood block party vibes to the event!

Fourth Down: connect pro and amateur athletes with influence in the Buffalo area, to further amplify the program and remind our neighbors that they are most definitely not forgotten.

Help us hit the endzone and flex the power of collectivism. Who got us? WE GOT US!
