I'm Gwenn Burud, and I'm running again because I know we can win. There are more Democrats in SD9 if only we'd get everyone to show up to vote. Last time I ran, I took a 30-point district and turned it into an 8-point one! Since that run in 2018, DFW has brought in SO MANY new people. We need the funds to register and turn out our district so I can be a real representative for the families of Texas's 9th Senate District.

I'm a public education teacher that works with children who are deaf/heard-of-hearing and their families. Without public education, these families would be on their own to unravel the complexities of raising a child with special needs. We must refocus our communities around the great equalizer of public education by fully funding all aspects of public education--and I can do this without raising your taxes by simply reprioritizing the state's budget. The foundation of the American Dream is public education, and we must make Texas a more competitive state by ensuring all of our children have access to the highest quality education.
