We are quickly approaching what may be the most consequential Texas elections in 30 years.

James Talarico, running against Ken Paxton for the U.S. Senate, is polling even with or, in some polls, a few points ahead of Paxton. Other Democratic candidates, including Gina Hinojosa and Vicky Goodwin, are also within striking distance in their races against Greg Abbott and Dan Patrick.

Meanwhile, data centers and other special interests are preparing to pour significant amounts of money into supporting Paxton, Abbott, and Patrick. We are not going to stand by while special interests help determine the future of Texas.

Here in the Hill Country, we are working with neighboring counties to develop a coordinated strategy that is both cohesive and impactful. Together with Gillespie and Blanco counties, we have approved a billboard near Johnson City that will run during September and October. It will be seen by thousands of Hill Country residents and visitors, including those traveling between Johnson City and Kerrville.

Efforts like these cost money, and we depend on the generosity of individual donors like you to make them possible.
