Join BWDC members, friends and allies as we talk politics, eat good food, drink good drinks and get information about the latest issues impacting black women Democrats.


The Black Women’s Democratic Club is the first and only statewide Black women’s Democratic Club in the State of California. Our mission is simple: To build the leadership and power of progressive Black women Democrats throughout California. 


Launched in 2017 by a multi-generational group of Black Women, BWDC harnesses the political power of Black women as the change-makers and power brokers we are. BWDC is committed to broadcasting the voices of Black Women voters, amplifying the voices of Black Women legislators and promoting the votes of Black communities across California.
