Contribution rules

  1. I am a U.S. citizen or lawfully admitted permanent resident (i.e., green card holder).
  2. This contribution is made from my own funds, and funds are not being provided to me by another person or entity for the purpose of making this contribution.
  3. I am at least eighteen years old.
  4. I am not a federal contractor.
  5. I am making this contribution with my own personal credit card and not with a corporate or business credit card or a card issued to another person.
Contributions must include the contributor's street address. PO boxes are not allowed. Contributions are not tax deductible for federal income tax purposes. Your contribution will be used in connection with California non-federal elections. Corporate and Union contributions are acceptable under California law to be used in connection with nonfederal elections. California law permits contributions up to $36,500 per calendar year for use in supporting state elections. California law imposes no limits on contributions used for purposes other than supporting state candidates.
Contributions to California House Majority Fund will be allocated as follows: Contributions to California House Majority Fund of up to $16,500 per individual and up to $25,000 from multicandidate PACs shall be allocated equally between Will Rollins for Congress, Rudy Salas for Congress, the California 13 Nominee Fund, the California 27 Nominee Fund, and the California 45 Nominee Fund, with contributions to Will Rollins for Congress and Rudy Salas for Congress allocated to the primary election and contributions to each Nominee Funds allocated to the general election. The next $6,600 from individuals and next $10,000 from multicandidate PACs, will be allocated equally between Will Rollins for Congress and Rudy Salas for Congress for the general election. Any amount in excess of this, up to an additional $10,000 from individuals and up to an additional $5,000 from multicandidate PACs, will be allocated to the California Democratic Party’s federal account. Any contributor may designate their contribution for a particular participant. The allocation formula above may change if any contributor makes a contribution that, when allocated, would exceed the amount that the contributor may lawfully give to any participant. Contributions allocated to the Nominee Funds will be held in escrow by California House Majority Fund until after the March 2024 primary election. If one Democratic candidate receives the most or the second most votes in the primary election in Congressional District 13, 27, or 45, as certified by the California Secretary of State no later than April 12, 2024, that candidate shall be considered the Democratic nominee in that district. Funds allocated to each district’s nominee fund shall be provided to the principal campaign committee of the Democratic nominee in that district, provided that the Democratic nominee ratifies the joint fundraising agreement within 10 days of the election being certified. If a Democratic nominee in a district does not ratify this Agreement within the 10-day period, California House Majority Fund will refund any contributions allocated to that district’s Nominee Fund. If no Democratic candidate receives the most or second most votes in the March 2024 primary election in a district, or two Democratic candidates receive the most and second most votes in the March 2024 primary election in a district, the contributions allocated to that district’s Nominee Fund shall be provided to the California Democratic Party’s federal account, up to the applicable contribution limit. The allocation formula above may change if any contributor makes a contribution that, when allocated, would exceed the amount that the contributor may lawfully give to any participant.
