Run by students for students, Cal Berkeley Democrats is the official arm of the Democratic Party on the UC Berkeley campus. Founded in 1960, Cal Dems is the largest campus chapter of the California College Democrats. In the last few years, the club has been integral in the election of numerous local and state officials such as Berkeley Mayor Jesse Arreguín, has hosted events with DeRay McKesson and Pod Save America, and has even travelled to Reno to canvass for Presidential Candidate Hillary Clinton.
We have some lofty goals for the 2023-2024 school year. We have hopes of training young, college students to advocate for the issues they care about, work on 2024 campaigns, and even run for office. But, we're going to need some help.
We're counting on supporters like you to uplift the next generation of Democratic leaders.
To become an alumni member, please donate $50. To become a student member please donate $10 for the semester or $15 for the year.
