I'm Cam Davis and I'm running for commissioner of the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago (Bradford vacancy). I'm running because I’ve dedicated my entire 32-year career to working for clean water as President Obama's Great Lakes point person, public interest Clean Water Act attorney at the National Wildlife Federation, law teacher at the University of Michigan Law School, and as President & CEO of the Alliance for the Great Lakes.
I want to ensure the District keeps doing its part to make our region affordable and healthy by supporting union jobs, green infrastructure for clean water, and innovating to do our part to reduce the tax burden imposed from the new tax law. Here's what Obama said at his farewell speech that I can't forget: “if something needs fixing…run for office yourself. Show up. Dive in. Stay at it. ”I've spent my adult life supporting other candidates for the environment. I’m not just running for any office. I’m running for the Water Rec District. I’m asking for your support because if you dive in with me, I'll stay at it.
Thank you for you support!
Cam Davis
