Bob Lorinser

Storytime.

When I was a young family doctor working in the hospital, a snowstorm hit the Upper Peninsula and made travel by road impossible.

To get to work, I had to cross-country ski for three miles. I worked a 36-hour shift and then returned home courtesy of the EMS and an ambulance.

When I got home, I remember opening a can of peas. That was my dinner. It was 1 a.m. I went to bed, woke up early, showered, got a ride back to the hospital, and resumed work.

You can count on this grit and work ethic when I get to Congress. Why?

Because we have so

much work to do.

To pass universal healthcare, save Social Security, reignite a labor movement, protect workers, codify Roe, and invest in public education, housing, and childcare, you deserve serious commitment.

As long as I have skis and a can of peas, I'll tirelessly fight for the people of rural Michigan, snowstorms notwithstanding.
