Care in Action

Support Domestic Workers Impacted by the LA Wildfires

Care in Action is an allied organization of the National Domestic Workers Alliance, which is hosting this fundraiser to support domestic workers impacted by the wildfires in Los Angeles.

The wildfires in Los Angeles have left families and communities in crisis. For domestic workers — more than half of whom are Black, Latinx, and immigrant women — the impact has been especially severe. These are the women who care for our children, our aging loved ones, and our homes. Yet, many of them lack access to the safety nets that most workers rely on during disasters, leaving them vulnerable as they face the long road to recovery.

Through trusted Los Angeles affiliates of our allied organization, the National Domestic Workers Alliance, including CHIRLA, Instituto Educación Popular (IDEPSCA), and Pilipino Workers Center, your donation today to the 'We Care: Domestic Worker Relief Fund' will provide critical support, including:

  • PPE for individuals living in affected areas as well as volunteers and workers doing clean up efforts.
  • Basic supplies to help domestic workers and their families rebuild their lives.
  • Long-term recovery support to ensure they can get back on their feet.

Every dollar you give to the 'We Care: Domestic Worker Relief Fund' will go directly to on-the-ground organizations helping domestic workers impacted by this disaster. Donate now to provide relief and show your support.
