Carol was inspired to public service by her father, a Bronze Star U.S. Army Master Sergeant, and her life’s work has been about helping others.
At the New Jersey Schools Development Authority, Carol worked to build and modernize public schools. Later, as a legislative staffer, Carol worked to pass a groundbreaking law that took away domestic abusers’ access to firearms.
Since being elected to the Assembly in 2017, Carol has fought to enact the strongest pay equity law in the nation, lowered prescription drug costs, reduced the property tax burden on seniors and veterans, and to codify Roe v. Wade protections for abortion at the state level.
