Hello - my name is Carson C. Lucarelli and I'm running to be the next Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner ("ANC") for Single Member District ("SMD") 4D03. I decided to run for this position because I love the diversity and small business-minded nature of Brightwood Park and want to help make it a better place for people. Even though ANC Commissioners are volunteers who receive no salary, the position comes with a lot of responsibility.

As a professionally trained urban planner who is fluent in both English and Spanish, I have worked with diverse communities around the world to help make them better places to live, work, and play.

I want to put these proven skills to good use in my single member district so that as it grows, everyone has a fair and equal chance at success - regardless of where you came from, how much money you earn, who you love, or how you express yourself.

My top priorities as Commissioner, in no particular order, will include but are not limited to:

1. Making public transportation useful.
2. Maintaining and increasing our supply of affordable and workforce housing for all incomes and abilities .
3. Championing safer streets which are free from gun and vehicular violence.
4. Assisting our small business owners and ensuring that our neighborhood retains its entrepreneurial spirit.
5. Improving access to high-quality public spaces, services and amenities, particularly for the most vulnerable people in our community.

Your contribution will help me reach everyone eligible voter in 4D03. The maximum *one-time* contribution level is $25.
