Catalina Cruz - A Leader To Believe In

I grew up as DREAMer, living in the shadows, but inspired by my single mother who worked hard to create a better future for me and my family. She persevered through indignities so that I would one day be able to become an attorney and fight injustices while working in the City Council and the Governor’s office.

These experiences are what drive me to become a leader for our community – to ensure our workers, seniors, and families have the ability to not only survive – but thrive.

I’m running for the State Assembly to give back to the neighborhoods of Jackson Heights, Elmhurst, and Corona, which have given so much to me and my family. I am ready to be a leader for our community, so that together we can protect the values that make us New Yorkers and fight back against Trump’s hatred and dangerous policies.

The truth is that many challenges remain for our community. We need to fix the MTA, invest more in our public schools, advocate for immigrant and LGBT rights, and make New York a more affordable city in which to live, work, raise a family, and retire.

We are just getting started!

I am proud of the coalition we are building for our future and I look forward to hearing from you. I am so grateful for your support for our win in the Democratic Primary and ask you to help us keep up the momentum for the general election Tuesday, November 6th.
