The Labor Force

Make Sure Workers Hear the Truth

Since CAUSE went public with its Durham drives, Amazon has launched yet another aggressive and misinformation-filled union-busting campaign. In response, CAUSE members are making the simplest of demands: they just want Amazon to tell the truth and stop union-busting.

In captive audience meetings recorded by workers, Amazon claims that CAUSE will force workers to pay dues, when in fact the union is free to join. Amazon has also told workers that CAUSE is an “external group,” when in fact CAUSE is founded and led by Amazon workers themselves. The union is calling on Amazon to drop the lies and participate in a town hall where both CAUSE and Amazon can speak directly to Amazon workers.

On February 7th, CAUSE workers and their allies will be rallying outside Amazon’s DRT8 warehouse in Durham, but they need our support to make this event a success. Your donations will help cover rally necessities like signage in multiple languages, a sound system rental, union buttons, and water to keep attendees hydrated.

Amazon spends millions of dollars per year on union-busting and has fired, arrested, and threatened union supporters. Your donations help level the playing field and give CAUSE the resources to demand an end to the lies and union-busting.
