Causes to Care About

Goal thermometer

Causes to Care About is a 501(c)(4) nonprofit that exists to promote social welfare and the general good by advocating for causes that affect the well-being of the public at large, but which often don't get the attention they deserve. Causes to Care About focuses on lesser-known causes affecting members of our society who are disenfranchised, unhoused, and marginalized.

Unlike traditional 501(c)(3) nonprofits, we can devote all our resources to fighting for real change. As a 501(c)(4), we have the flexibility to do everything from lobbying, to targeted campaigns, to legal support in the form of Amicus briefs. Your donation will help fund a team of of advocates who are passionate about these issues and who will fight for our causes to create much-needed change in our communities.

Our current Programs include:

The Birth Equity Advocacy Project (BEAP), which is organized to advocate, lobby, and raise awareness for racial equity in maternal care; and

The Fair Maps Fund, which is organized to lobby for fair redistricting processes and to fight gerrymandering.
