Flip the 14 has launched an exciting project which aims to mobilize women voters in support of Democratic candidates in high-priority congressional districts in California: the California Women's Vote Project.
We are working to fine-tune Resistance outreach and messaging to best reach women voters from ALL backgrounds -- Latinas, African Americans, Asian Americans, millennials, seniors, LGBTQ, and unmarried women among them.
The goal is to dig deep into survey data to understand the issue priorities and values of women from different communities, and help us communicate more effectively the need to flip Congress from Republican to Democratic.
Celinda Lake and David Mermin from Lake Research Partners -- nationally recognized for their polling and expertise on women voters -- have signed on to help us. Kate Karpilow, a longtime leader in California's women's community, will serve as Project Director.
They'll be reviewing polls and developing profiles and messages -- and then we'll be taking this new information into the field -- crafting messages for voter outreach (canvassing, postcards, phoning, texting) and get-out-the-vote organizing.
To support this important effort -- which takes four weeks to complete -- we need to raise $10,000 immediately. Can you help us with a contribution -- $50, $100, or more?
In our targeted congressional districts, a few votes will determine who wins -- and our California Women's Vote Project has the promise to make a difference.
