Cape Cod Children’s Place believes all local families and children deserve to reach their full potential. We strengthen and empower all Cape Cod families with services for children, parents, educators, and community members. Our strength-based model values all families and honors their individuality. Our programs provide education, services, and resources which build the skills, support systems, knowledge, stability, and resiliency needed to provide a healthy nurturing and safe community for Cape Cod children. We are committed to collaborating with non-profits, local businesses, school systems, healthcare providers, donors and local residents. When families, communities, and schools work together, children are more successful and the entire community benefits.
It’s fast, it’s fun, it’s family-friendly and it’s FREE! Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 8, 2018 for the 18th Annual Seaside Le Mans –The Race for the Cape Cod Community. The race begins at noon as thousands gather to watch this annual endurance event of European-style Formula One race karts driven by local sponsors on a one-quarter mile outdoor track around Mashpee Commons. The action never stops as teams change drivers, refuel, pass one another and race around corners and along straightaways. The event includes free viewing either trackside or from the infield reached by a pedestrian bridge spanning the racetrack. Music, entertainment and children’s activities combine with the many shops and restaurants of Mashpee Commons to provide every member of the family with something interesting to see or do.
Over the past 17 years, the race has raised more than $6 million dollars in sponsorships and matching funds, supporting non-profit organizations on the Cape & Islands.
