Since last week, not one but two first-term GOP state legislators have announced that they are in the running for Maine’s second congressional district seat, and neither of them is a good option for Maine. One is a MAGA extremist, the other was hand picked by Kevin McCarthy.


It’s also clear that no matter who the nominee winds up being, they will have the full support of the national GOP as they do everything they can to cling to power by trying to flip this seat and re-install the presumptive nominee, Donald Trump. That includes millions upon millions of Republican mega-donor dollars heading into Maine.
