Colorado Democratic Party - Federal Account

Keep Colorado Blue!

Who do we want to be?

Reckless Republican rhetoric incited a violent riot against the US Capitol and the Capitol police on January 6, 2021 to stop the constitutional process of counting Presidential Electoral College votes from the 2020 election. And rather than join the effort to complete a bi-partisan investigation to get to the truth, the GOP, including Lauren Boebert, has decided to obstruct any effort to pursue facts or accountability for lawless and criminal behavior.

But the insurrection did not come from nowhere.  It came from an orchestrated propaganda campaign to create and disseminate “The Big Lie”, undermining free and fair elections in the United States of America.  This is a classic move by authoritarian interests to sow doubt in democracy itself.

The Colorado GOP is at it again, refusing to accept the results of the 2020 election.

In a recent interview in Colorado Springs, Colorado GOP Chair Kristi Burton Brown continued her pattern of ducking questions about former president Donald Trump’s Big Lie that the 2020 election was stolen.

When asked if we needed a January 6th commission the GOP chair said, "I believe we need to focus on the issues that impact Colorado.”  Clearly the GOP has no interest in holding people accountable.

This is more than just politics --  it’s about electing people who refuse to be a nation of divisive politics, insurrections and violence.

Giving Colorado back to the GOP would be a colossal setback for voting rights, our environment and, frankly, our democratic norms.

We need to win many hard-fought seats in  2022 to do our part for Colorado and the nation, so we’re asking if you’ll chip in to continue to help us win elections up and down the ballot?

This is more than politics, it’s about the values that we embrace as Coloradans.  Please join us in our work to defend democracy itself.

Thank you for all that you do.
