Let's Celebrate Together!

I’m turning 33 this January, and there’s no better way I can imagine celebrating than right here in District 7 with you.

January 10th 2PM to 4PM

Newton Community Center

306 Newton St, Salisbury, MD

This is a space that has shaped so many lives in our community, including mine.

First, as a neighbor. I’ve had a front-row seat to the way this community makes things happen. I’ve watched families thrive because of the programs here. I’ve seen young people light up when they’re given tools to learn, explore, and imagine what’s possible.

Second, as a community advocate and councilmember. During my time on the city council and beyond, we’ve worked to build on that momentum. Through partnerships with city leadership and community advocates, we helped build a youth STEM lab to life. Now housed on the second floor, this program is where curiosity and opportunity meet every day.

Just this year, we came together to paint the vibrant street mural outside those doors, turning our shared space into a reflection of the pride we hold for this neighborhood. And just steps away from there, we opened the Eastern Shore’s first Little Pink Pantry, providing resources to young women.

This is what happens when people believe in a place and in each other. Newton isn’t just where we gather, it’s where we prove that when a community leads, real change follows. And I can’t think of a more meaningful way to mark another year than by celebrating everything we’ve built together.

We'll have local music, warm drinks, treats, and games. Tickets are $33 OR you can bring a children's book. All books collected will be donated to local non-profits supporting youth and families here in Wicomico.
