At the Center for Common Ground we invest in year-round organizing because democracy isn’t
seasonal. But this deep, relationship-driven work takes resources, and those resources are
running out.
In 2025, there are now 14 Democracy Centers across Virginia, North Carolina, Georgia, South Carolina and Alabama. The urgency for continuous community engagement and organization has grown.
Our Democracy Centers are part of communities before the cameras show up and long after the cameras leave. We show up year-round to listen, serve, and build power.
Whether it's by running food banks, offering affordable broadband, or hosting regular community events, we show up, meet people where they are, listen to their needs, and work hard to address them.
