Cartoons for Democracy uses donations like yours to get political cartoons in front of people who no longer read newspapers and have internet-induced limited attention spans.
We use cartoons to break through information filters of Americans whose main news sources are controlled by media moguls. Cartoons help voters realize that “facts” from news and social media are heavily tainted by billionaires and, regardless of political party or education level, they are pushed to act in favor of the wealthy, even if this goes deeply against voters’ own interests.
We aim to break through that bubble with political cartoons on postcards and billboards. The postcards also direct users to a website with more cartoons and links to articles from from neutral sources on topics they may not otherwise see.
Our 2025 focus will be on Virginia's 2nd Congressional District for the November election, and to "prime the pump" for the 2026 midterms.
