Contribution rules
- I am a U.S. citizen or lawfully admitted permanent resident (i.e., green card holder).
- This contribution is made from my own funds, and funds are not being provided to me by another person or entity for the purpose of making this contribution.
- I am at least eighteen years old.
- I am not a federal contractor.
- I am making this contribution with my own personal credit card and not with a corporate or business credit card or a card issued to another person.
Contributions to Connie Chan for Congress are not tax deductible for income tax purposes. Connie Chan for Congress may accept contributions of up to $3,500 per election from individuals and up to $5,000 per election from qualified federal multicandidate PACs. Contributions from corporations, labor unions, federal government contractors and foreign nationals are prohibited. Federal law requires us to use our best efforts to collect and report the name, mailing address, occupation and name of employer of individuals whose contributions exceed $200 in an election cycle.
As a San Francisco Supervisor, Connie will not accept contributions from:
1. The owner, director, officer, participant, or named sub-contractor of any entity that is currently negotiating a contract with [select appropriate: City and County of San Francisco, name of a City department, or the San Francisco Unified School District, the San Francisco Community College District, or board of a state agency that has a member who is appointed by a City elective officer], or of any entity that received such a contract within the last twelve months.
2. A contract or expenditure lobbyist in the City of San Francisco.
3. Persons with a financial interest in a land use matter valued at $5,000,000 or more that is currently pending before the Board of Appeals, Board of Supervisors, Building Inspection Commission, Commission on Community Investment and Infrastructure, Historic Preservation Commission, Planning Commission, Port Commission, or Treasure Island Development Authority Board of Directors, or persons with a financial interest in any such land use matter for which any of these boards or commissions have rendered a final decision or ruling within the last twelve months.
