From the filmmakers:

"In 2024, Bad Faith: Christian Nationalism's Unholy War on Democracy came out to critical acclaim. Variety called it “the scariest and most penetrating documentary of the year” because it went deeper than any other film and uncovered the Christian Nationalist cancer that was tearing apart our democracy. Two years later the cancer is now enthroned in the Oval office. Our new film, Bad Faith 2026: Christian Nationalism in Power abridges the original film and adds fifteen minutes of new material on Project 2025 in action during Trump’s second term in office.

The assault on democracy did not begin with Trumpism. It did not begin with the Tea Party. It did not begin with the Moral Majority. The current day assault on democracy began with the WHITE SUPREMACY MOVEMENT in the 1960’s as part of a shrewd, calculated, and well executed political plan. That plan became cloaked as a religious movement. Those white supremacists and their heirs are now known as Christian Nationalists. Aided by a record 82% of the white Evangelical vote, Donald Trump was re-elected in 2024. Back in office, he immediately began implementing Project 2025, the playbook for the Christian Nationalist vision of America. Discover in BAD FAITH the historical origins of this movement. Discover also the secular and interfaith leaders challenging Christian Nationalism and the stirrings of the national mass movement to defend democracy from the greatest threat since its founding 250 years ago."
