The year is 1987. The Simpsons make their first appearance on TV, Ronald Reagan asks Mr. Gorbachev to “tear down this wall,” I Think We’re Alone Now by Tiffany is topping the charts, and a Democrat is elected to the Bridgewater Township Council. Bridgewater has not elected another Democrat ever since…
That’s over thirty-seven years without a Democrat on the Council. In that time, we’ve seen decades of one-party rule lead to higher taxes, late municipal budgets, and poor infrastructure planning, especially under this current council and mayor.
You might think this is because Bridgewater is a deep red town, but that is not the case! In 2024, Kamala Harris and Sue Altman both won Bridgewater. In 2022, Tom Malinowski, Darrin Russo, Melonie Marano, and Steve Peter all carried Bridgewater. The numbers are there!
What’s missing is turnout. We need your support to get out the vote in Bridgewater. This year we have a fantastic team in Andrew Bucko, Ridwana Isla, and Joan Geiger. It’s time to go big for Bridgewater. The General Election is just getting started.
Help us get off to a winning start by becoming a part of our campaign today!
