Saint Paul school board member, founder of Love First, and longtime community organizer Chauntyll Allen is running for Saint Paul City Council, Ward 4.
Chauntyll was born and raised in the Rondo neighborhood. After graduating from Central High School, she started working in the district’s Community Education department, organizing after-school programs in the Rondo neighborhood. She has served on the school board for over five years and has done extensive work to end the school-to-prison pipeline while also advocating publicly for civil rights and social justice issues in the Twin Cities.
Chauntyll’s priorities include lowering property taxes, community safety, and establishing a system of co-governance.
Ward 4 consists of Hamline-Midway, Como Park, St. Anthony Park, Union Park, and the Mac-Grove District Councils.
