Chelsea Black Community has provided health and wellness assistance through education, outreach, advocacy, and implementation to residents living through the COVID 19  pandemic in one of the most profoundly stricken cities in  Massachusetts.


As a grassroot nonprofit organization we continue to advocate and make great strides in the community of Chelsea. Our drive for fairness, inclusion, and transparency has propelled CBC as an upstanding organization here in our beloved city. We are fully committed to our goal to elevate residents of Chelsea to have equal opportunities as others post COVID 19 pandemic.   Chelsea Black Community stands as One Strong Voice.


Your gift made through this page will support key pandemic response initiatives in 2021, including:

  • Financial assistance for Workforce Development in the Trades to Upskill and Reskill residents post COVID 19 pandemic in a community of Essential Workers. 
  • Holiday Food Basket Distribution with direct financial assistance.
  • Cultural Awareness, Outreach, and Inclusion through full capacity community-wide events throughout Black History Month, Juneteenth.
  • Scholarship Fundraiser Basketball Tournament provides financial assistance to Chelsea High School graduates going to college.
  • Community Engagement (bilingual)  through outreach and education on remaining safe after COVID 19 pandemic. Advocacy and In-depth conversion on our Let’s Get Vaccinated Initiative, providing PPE supplies. Presentations by medical practitioners in the field,
  • Staffing community-based COVID Vaccine Clinic through partnership with Chelsea Public Health Dept. and Cataldo.
  • Introduction of Action Plan (71- point resolution) for change in policies and regulations that enable inequities to persist in Public Health, Education, Public Safety, and Housing.
  • Continued advocacy for a just recovery from the COVID 19 pandemic.
