Re-elect Chevonne Lorigo-Johst for Pflugerville ISD School Board, Place 7

As a mother of two PFISD graduates with three current students, a local business owner, and current Board President, I have spent my time on the board focused on one thing: building a stronger pfuture for all students.

I believe effective leadership requires transparency, collaboration, fiscal responsibility, and the ability to navigate challenges while keeping compassion, students, and staff at the center of every decision.

During my tenure, I have served in numerous leadership roles including Board President, Board Secretary, Finance Committee Chair, Safety & Security Committee Chair, Board Self Evaluation Chair, Policy Committee member, Governance & Community Relations member, TASB Delegate, MASBA Policy Committee member, and now as a member of the Texas Association of School Boards Legislative Advisory Council.

I am proud to have helped lead efforts that:

  • Increased transparency and public engagement through expanded public comment access
  • Created a board vacancy policy focused on openness and collaboration
  • Prioritized student and staff safety, including moving graduations to secure indoor facilities
  • Supported emergency medical access for students through updated epinephrine policies
  • Protected professional student support services by supporting qualified school counselors
  • Maintained one of the lowest tax rates in the district’s recent history while improving academic outcomes
  • Recommended the creation of a dedicated academic committee to strengthen student achievement and address learning gaps
  • Advocated for safe schools without placing the burden of armed security on teachers
  • Created the 360 Degree Board Self Evaluation

I have worked to bring people together, strengthen governance, advocate for public education, and ensure every tax dollar is used responsibly and in the best interest of students, educators, and families.

As our district continues to navigate financial pressures and evolving student needs, I remain committed to steady, student-centered leadership that builds trust, protects opportunity, brings our community together in times of transition, and moves PFISD pforward together.

Trusted Leadership. Stronger Schools.
