Put families first, not ICE
Families across this nation are struggling to meet their basic needs, and the federal government must play an important role in helping people who are suffering. Almost half of U.S. workers earn less than the hourly wage needed to afford the rent for a modest one-bedroom apartment.
Yet, instead of doing anything to help families address the affordability crisis, Congress is trying to lock in the billions of dollars in SNAP cuts made in the Big Brutal Bill and fund ICE for the remainder of Trump’s term. But we can still stop them!
Right now, Congress is home for recess and we’re applying pressure through protests and advocacy.
