Christa is an 18-year Pike County resident who serves on the boards of the Poconos United Way, Poconos Chamber of Commerce, Greater Pike Community Foundation and as VP of Saw Creek Estates Owners Community Association, one of the largest HOAs in Pike County.
Christa lives in Lehman Township, which comprises 20% of Pike County's population, pays more property tax than any other municipality and has had a representative on the Pike County Commission only once in the last 125 years.
For five years Christa managed constituent services for Congressman Matt Cartwright and in July 2023, Governor Josh Shapiro appointed her Vice Chair of the Governor's Advisory Commission on African American Affairs. Christa has a B.A. in Jurisprudence and M.S. in Law and Public Policy from California University of PA.
She has been married for 19 years and she and her husband, Enrique, have a 14-year-old son, Josiah. If elected, she will be the only Pike County Commissioner with a child in the local public school system.
Christa enjoys a wide range of bi-partisan endorsements from local and state-wide elected and law enforcement officials, as well as Conservation Voters of PA, Planned Parenthood, Delaware Valley Action and other organizations. She is the only Democratic candidate for Commissioner who has been endorsed by the Pike County Democratic Committee.
