As a proud parent of two students in Milwaukee Public Schools and a dedicated former educator with 24 years of experience in MPS, now retired, I am excited to announce my intention to run for the Milwaukee School Board, District 5 seat. Having lived the experience of both a parent and an educator within this district, I am deeply committed to ensuring that all students in Milwaukee have access to the high-quality education they deserve.
I know that MPS can profoundly positively impact students and families across Milwaukee not only academically but also in their physical, emotional, and social development as they prepare for the future. We face enormous obstacles in our community, given that many forces are attempting to privatize and underfund most public institutions.
