Since taking office in 2022, Alexa and Tiffany have sponsored and enacted legislation that holds corporate polluters accountable, provides protections for abortion care and passes broker fees onto landlords. Never willing to concede to the right, they have repeatedly been two of the only legislators willing to stand up to Mayor Adams’ budget cuts. They continue to defend migrant communities in New York City as ICE carries out unprecedented raids, cosponsoring a resolution condemning Trump’s racist border policy and rallying their neighbors against Trump’s bigoted raids.

Alexa and Tiffany’s are running to win increases in public school funding, the long-overdue closure of Rikers Island, and the expansion of access to paid family leave. Both will be crucial to our fight in the coming years, as Republicans and conservative Democrats alike try to gut city funding and pit New Yorkers against each other.

NYC-DSA needs your help to ensure these crucial City Council seats remain in the hands of democratic socialists – not of the corporate Democratic establishment.
