Civics On Social

The teams at Eleven Films and DemCast are teaming up to deliver the civics lessons that Americans so desperately need via the social media feeds that they're increasingly addicted to.

Our tagline: "Breakin' down how sh*t works in America"

Background

If we've learned anything over the last decade or two, it's that Americans don't really understand how are government works, why it's been set up the way it has, and what role they can and should have as citizens in a democracy.

Unfortunately, young people aren't learning this stuff in school (or they're forgetting it once they graduate).

Adults of a certain age probably remember the "Schoolhouse Rocks" cartoons that educated the masses via mass dissemination of civics lessons on tv.

Civics On Social is a reboot of this strategy for the digital age.

Strategy

Leveraging the filmmaking prowess of the award-winning team at Eleven Films and the mass dissemination capacity of the DemCast social media network, the Civics On Social team will release professionally-produced civics lessons on a weekly basis.

We're aiming for funny, informative & viral.

Our mission is to increase Americans' understanding of basic civics so that they can more meaningfully participate in our democracy.

Nobody is paying us to do this. It's just something that needs to be done.
