When I first came to Congress, I was stopped -- TWICE -- from walking onto the House floor. "No spouses allowed," they told me.
This is not a mindset I tolerated then, and I certainly will not allow it to continue proliferating in Congress and beyond: women belong in the House, in the Senate, in the White House, and in every elected office down the ballot. And that includes Jackie Gordon and Hiral Tipirneni, two fantastic candidates to bring meaningful representation to Congress.
l hope you will join me in building our future by chipping in today.
