Join the Fight for a Sustainable Future: El Paso's Climate Charter Initiative

Join us in making history! Sunrise El Paso and Ground Game Texas have submitted over 39,000 signatures to secure a climate charter initiative that will appear on the May 2023 ballot in El Paso. This groundbreaking initiative will establish El Paso as a citywide leader in addressing the climate crisis.

Our mission is to create a greener future for El Paso, one that generates new job opportunities, protects our precious water sources, embraces sustainable energy, and reduces the city's carbon footprint. By supporting this initiative, you can help put El Paso on the map as a leader in the fight against climate change.

It's time for action. Despite the increasing threat of climate change, political leaders in Texas have failed to take meaningful steps to address the crisis. They continue to prioritize the interests of the oil and gas industry, leaving our state vulnerable to devastating events like the winter power crisis. Every year, Texas experiences more natural disasters and record-breaking heatwaves.

With your support, we can make El Paso a shining example of what can be achieved when people come together to tackle the greatest challenge of our time. Let's make history!

This campaign is run by the local Latine-led, youth organization Sunrise El Paso and by progressive ballot initiative organization GroundGame Texas. The El Paso Climate Charter campaign is fiscally sponsored by Ground Game Texas, a 501(c)(4) nonprofit organization.
