Climate Hawks Vote

Climate Hawks to seat Adelita Grijalva

Last summer when Climate Hawks Vote endorsed Adelita Grijalva, we told you that if she won her primary, the general election would be easy. We were right: voters delivered a clear mandate in September where she won 70 percent of the popular vote.

But we also assumed she’d be sworn in quickly. We were wrong. Now it’s lawsuit season.

Speaker MAGA Mike Johnson has been refusing to swear in Rep-Elect Grijalva in a naked power grab. It's already the longest ever delay between an election and swearing-in. And it's left more than 800,000 Arizonans without a voice in Congress.

We don’t normally ask for donations long after an election has been won. But we’ve never before faced a situation like this. Adelita is suing and we are furious. Chip in here to help Adelita and Climate Hawks Vote fight back.
