Lateefah Simon is a Bay Area Rapid Transit director who won a MacArthur Foundation “Genius” grant at age 26 and has made Oprah Magazine’s “Power List.” Lateefah has an extremely strong track record of community-based leadership, and would carry on Rep. Barbara Lee’s progressive work in possibly the most progressive district in the nation.
